This blog has been started as a record of the exciting developments taking place at Fergusson Intermediate as we build a new learning environment for the 21st century!
Here at Fergusson Intermediate we have a brand new building and the good thing is that I’m 1 of the first year 7’s in here and it is magnificent! What I like about the new building is that there are doors that open widely and let fresh air in and have automatic curtains. These classrooms are much better than the ones I had last year because these ones have a whole lot more room when last year they were cramped and cold Shania Whatarau Rm 9
Our new classrooms are very exciting. They are bright and open, that and its spacious. It doesn’t have that feeling like the old buildings, that you’re shut off from the world like a dungeon. It’s weird being in a million dollar complex of classrooms you sort of feel like you have to watch where you step because you don’t want to damage anything. (Not that I’m complaining.) You may think wow brand spanking new classrooms that’s awesome can’t get any better than that, but it’s going to get even better since out the front of the block there’s going to be a rain garden; that means the garden will not need watering because the rain water on the roof will fall down and water the garden without taking water from the tap that means we are recycling water while reducing our carbon foot print! Aren’t we an awesome school At Fergusson intermediate we have a brand new block which I am one of the first people to be taught in? By the wonderful Imogen Smith.
I am in the new classrooms at Fergusson Intermediate, what I like about the new block is the cool new curtains, because instead of opening to the left and the right they roll up at the top. And they keep the sun out of my eyes when it’s sunny! There is also a shared space for only room 10, 9, 8 and 7. Which I think is great. Personal insight by John Webber
I like the new classrooms, because it is different than all the classrooms I have ever been in. It is nice and BIG so it is easy to work in. The new classrooms have BIG windows so you can see what is going on out there, and they open wide, there are BIG doors.
