Staff have now been in for a look and are trying to book their spot for Feb.
The roof is on and these photos show the cladding going on, first windows being installed and the decks starting to take shape.
The builders are still wondering who will be organising the roof shout!
Hard to believe in 3 weeks the rest of the school will come tumbling down, get in for your last look!
This blog has been started as a record of the exciting developments taking place at Fergusson Intermediate as we build a new learning environment for the 21st century!

November - The building progress takes off!
Every day now new progress is visible, lots of sunshine I'm sure is helping. The different classrooms are taking shape and bargaining is beginning for who will get to start in a new classroom next year!
Building begins - October
After all the prep work at ground level it was exciting to finally see some framework starting to appear. The daily progress seems to be really taking off now!
We're starting to plan what is actually going to go inside these 21st Century classrooms right down to colour choice. Some dissent over the mustard yellow shade for some carpet squares!!
Digging in the trenches - September
During the last school holidays major work began digging trenches around the school to bring in all the services we would need. It was a mission to find any teacher parking or even any access to the classrooms- a good excuse to stay away!

The Demolition Begins - August 2010
After all the anticpation and planning the Fergusson Intermediate building project is finally underway. From a staff point of view the journey to get here has been long, challenging and complicated!
Seeing the first bricks come tumbling down was an important moment met with oohhs, aahhhs and cheering by the students. Of course there were some teary eyes from staff who had fond memories of their days teaching in these rooms!
